Cell Services & Wi-Fi Access

Cell service ends once you reach the Kendall area. Some Verizon and T-Mobile users will find they have pockets of service on the way up to the mountain and in the town of Glacier. There is a cell phone tower at Mount Baker so service will be restored when you reach the Mt. Baker Ski Lodge. To make Wi-Fi calls and access the internet without service, there is public Wi-Fi access located at the Mt Baker Visitor Center and at the Luxury Getaways office in Glacier WA. You can find the Visitor Center directly across the street from Crossroads Grocery and the Luxury Getaways office in the center of Glacier.

How to Use Wi-Fi Calling

ANDROID

Once you have reached your lodging destination you can send texts and make calls over Wi-Fi. To turn on your Wi-Fi calling go under your settings. Where there is a picture of a phone it should say “call”. Click on that. Once you’ve done that go down to Wi-fi Calling and toggle that on. You should then be ready to make calls.

APPLE/iOS

Once you have reached your lodging destination you can send texts and make calls over Wi-Fi.Go into Settings and then go into Phone. Click on turn on Wi-Fi calling on this iPhone. You have to do this while you are in cell phone range in order to update your emergency address in order to be located in an emergency and use this setting.
